Use | Used as a penetrating agent, dispersant, leveling agent, and cosolvent in the textile and dyeing industries. Suitable as a spinning oil component for synthetic fibers such as nylon and as an oil for adhesive window threads. |

Firstly, oleic acid reacts with n-butanol to produce n-butyl oleate, which is then sulfated with concentrated sulfuric acid to undergo an addition reaction. The reaction product is neutralized with alkaline solution to obtain a crude product. The crude product is extracted with ethanol and dehydrated to obtain a finished product.
